Château de Reignac, Reignac-sur-Indre - This fabulous small luxury hotel is the former House of the Marquis de la Fayette . The château de Reignac near Loches was entirely renovated in 2003. First built in the 15th century the hotel has just 12 rooms and all its rooms are the height of old style French luxury. La Marine de Loire. Situated in a pretty riverside village between Chinon and Saumur, this chic boutique hotel looks as if it's straight out of an interior design magazine. The 11 suites and bedrooms, each different, have been lovingly decorated by the owner, with whitewashed beams, lots of pearl grays and soft beiges, and nautical touches that recall the village's past as a navigation stop on the Loire River. The best rooms are Les Grandes Sablées, with its and river view; Jardin Secret, with its private terrace; or Sous la Lune, a romantic attic suite.
